Why watch For children who grew up on Henry Danger, this is the natural next step: same city, same hero, a new team. Each recruit's power, from teleportation to a sonic scream, gives episodes a clear comic engine, and the jokes stay broad and quick. The humour is pitched squarely at younger viewers, and the half-hour episodes move briskly.
What to know
Christopher J. Nowak developed the series from characters created by Dan Schneider and Dana Olsen. It premiered on Nickelodeon on 28 March 2020 and ran for three seasons, ending on 21 February 2024. Barnes and Jace Norman, the original Henry Danger, served as producers.
The team are Havan Flores as Chapa, known as Volt, who controls electricity; Terrence Little Gardenhigh and Dana Heath as siblings Miles and Mika, who become AWOL (teleportation) and ShoutOut (sonic scream); and Luca Luhan as Bose, or Brainstorm, with telekinesis. The first order was 13 episodes, season two ran to 26 from October 2021, and season three added 13 more from April 2023.
The pandemic shaped the first year: a virtually produced quarantine episode aired in May 2020, followed by a short run of remotely made minisodes that August.
Where to start
Begin with the first episode, which explains how the four got their powers. Viewers new to Swellview may want a few episodes of Henry Danger first for Captain Man’s backstory.
