November in Aotearoa belongs, for now, to the global streamers. Netflix, Prime Video and Apple TV have each put New Zealand dates on the record, either by naming the country or by releasing worldwide. The home side has not. As of Tuesday 27 October, Neon, TVNZ+, ThreeNow and the Disney+ ANZ press office had published no November line-ups on their own pages, so their slates stay out of this guide rather than being guessed at.

What is confirmed makes for a crowded month: a return to Middle-earth, a Blade Runner series, a Léa Seydoux drama with a New Zealand date of its own, a new Lee Chang-dong film and a heist series from Apple. Each date below is the service’s own. Anything timed for a US release can surface here in the evening or the following morning, so check the app on the day.

Netflix

Only one Netflix title this month carries New Zealand by name. Gentle Monster, written and directed by Marie Kreutzer, lands on Wednesday 18 November, the same day it reaches the US, Canada, the UK and Australia. Léa Seydoux is Lucy, a concert pianist whose life comes apart when police turn up at her new country home and her husband stands accused of a serious crime. Catherine Deneuve, Jella Haase and Laurence Rupp co-star, and the film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.

Lee Chang-dong’s Possible Love goes out worldwide earlier, on Friday 6 November. Jeon Do-yeon, Sul Kyung-gu and Cho Yeo-jeong lead.

Thursday 12 November brings two international series, both released globally. The Empress ends its run with a third and final season, Devrim Lingnau Islamoğlu still Elisabeth and Philip Froissant still Emperor Franz. Miracles of the ER, starring Wallace Huo and Cheryl Yang, is billed by Netflix as Taiwan’s first ER medical drama.

Two more Netflix series, Black Doves Season 2 and North of North Season 2, are dated for 5 November, but neither Tudum page lists territories. They stay off this list until they appear in the New Zealand catalogue. And for anyone weighing their subscription: nothing changes on New Zealand plans yet, with the ad-supported plan not due here until March 2027.

Prime Video

Prime Video has the fullest month, and every title below is listed on its press site either as a worldwide release or with New Zealand named.

It opens on Wednesday 4 November with The Greatest, the Muhammad Ali series, released in more than 240 countries and territories. Jaalen Best plays Cassius Clay and Muhammad Ali, with Omari Hardwick and Michael Ealy alongside.

A week later, on Wednesday 11 November, The Rings of Power Season 3 drops its first four episodes, again across more than 240 countries and territories. Episodes five and six follow on 18 November and the last two on 25 November. Morfydd Clark, Charlie Vickers, Robert Aramayo and Daniel Weyman are back.

The Chosen Season 6 arrives on Sunday 15 November, with New Zealand on its list of territories. The season follows Jesus’ final day before the crucifixion. On Friday 20 November comes Perfect Liars, a Spanish revenge thriller set at an exclusive university, released worldwide.

Then, on Wednesday 25 November, Blade Runner 2099, also worldwide, with Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer at the head of the cast. It shares the night with the last two episodes of The Rings of Power.

Apple TV

Nocturne debuts globally on Friday 30 October and runs straight through November, with a new episode every Friday until 25 December. That puts episodes three to six on 6, 13, 20 and 27 November. Liev Schreiber plays a former soldier turned homicide detective, opposite Zazie Beetz and Stephen Graham.

12 12 12 premieres globally on Friday 13 November with two episodes, then one a week to 25 December. Anthony Mackie is a disgraced FBI agent, Jamie Dornan a career criminal, and every episode moves across three timelines around a bank vault raid in Zurich.

A week on, Friday 20 November, Way of the Warrior Kid debuts globally. The Apple and Skydance film, directed by McG, casts Chris Pratt as a Navy SEAL who trains his bullied nephew, played by Jude Hill, with Linda Cardellini as the boy’s mother.

The local services: still to come

The silence is local. Sky’s media release pages showed no November line-up for Neon or Sky when checked on 27 October. TVNZ’s corporate media page listed no November programming release, and neither broadcaster’s own pages carried a November schedule for TVNZ+ or ThreeNow. The Disney+ ANZ press office had not posted a November list either. The Remote will add their titles here once the schedules are out.
