Marvel Studios lists Patrick Stewart in the cast of Avengers: Doomsday, which is set to be one of his final screen appearances. The film, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, brings Robert Downey Jr. back to the MCU as Victor von Doom, and its cast announcement included several actors from the original X-Men films, among them Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn and James Marsden, alongside Stewart. Marvel has not said how Professor Xavier fits into the story. The film is due in cinemas on 18 December 2026. We will update this page as Marvel releases more details.
