One day after its first three episodes landed, Avatar: Seven Havens was renewed for two more books. Co-creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko told a New York Comic Con crowd on Friday 9 October that Paramount+ has picked up Books 3 and 4, and announced a second new series, Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos, according to the Paramount+ release.

That is a lot of new bending for one afternoon, and it sets the franchise’s television slate well into the decade.
The October schedule
Book 1 of Seven Havens premiered globally on Paramount+ on Friday 9 October with three episodes. The rest arrives in three Friday drops, per Paramount+:
- Episodes 4 to 6: Friday 16 October
- Episodes 7 to 9: Friday 23 October
- Episodes 10 to 13: Friday 30 October
That makes 13 episodes in Book 1. Paramount+’s own show guide says Book 2 will also run 13 episodes, with a date still to be announced, and that details on Books 3 and 4 will follow later.
What the show is
Seven Havens follows Avatar Pavi, a young Earthbender hunted by human and spirit enemies after a cataclysm, who is joined by a long-lost twin sister, Nisha, and companions Geet and Jae as they try to uncover their origins and protect the Seven Havens, described by Paramount+ as the last strongholds of civilization. Saheli Khan voices Pavi, Aishu Devan is Nisha, Major Curda is Jae and Dee Bradley Baker is Geet, per the streamer. Akshay Khanna, Sakina Jaffrey, Darren Barnet and Dianne Doan round out the voice cast.
DiMartino and Konietzko are co-creators and executive producers, with Ethan Spaulding also executive producing and Sehaj Sethi as co-executive producer. The series is produced by Nickelodeon and Avatar Studios.
Meet Kuruk
The new series goes backward in the timeline. Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos follows “a rebellious teenage Avatar” who “bucks thousands of years of tradition by choosing to learn the four elements through globetrotting adventures, staying one step ahead of his angry teacher, rowdy pirates, and chaotic spirits,” per Paramount+. Panel attendees saw a first look at Kuruk and his pet, Nikik. Konietzko will serve as showrunner, with Avatar Studios and Nickelodeon Animation Studios producing. No date or episode count has been announced.
The rest of the panel
The session, moderated by Janet Varney, the original voice of Korra, also unveiled Seven Havens colourways for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, and teased new Seven Havens episodes of the companion podcast Avatar: Braving the Elements, which Varney co-hosts with Dante Basco. Paramount+ says two podcast episodes a week will accompany the Book 1 rollout, available on the official Avatar Legends YouTube channel. Voice actors Khan, Devan and Curda joined the creators on stage.
