Patrick Stewart in Star Trek: Nemesis
Patrick Stewart’s final film as Picard turns on a mirror: Shinzon, played by a young Tom Hardy, is Picard’s own clone, raised in the mines of Remus and determined to destroy Earth. The film lets Stewart play a captain facing the man he might have become, and it ends with a farewell, as Data sacrifices himself to save his captain. Directed by Stuart Baird, it opened in 2002 and was the last time the Next Generation crew appeared together until Star Trek: Picard reunited them two decades later.
