Marianne Stone was an English character actress who worked in films from the early 1940s to the late 1980s, usually in working-class parts such as barmaids, secretaries and landladies. She appeared in nine Carry On films and an episode of Carry On Laughing, and had supporting roles opposite Norman Wisdom. Her credits also include The Quatermass Xperiment, A Night to Remember, Lolita, A Hard Day's Night and To Sir, with Love.
