Lionel Atwill was an English and American stage and screen actor who began his career at London's Garrick Theatre before moving to Broadway and Hollywood. His more significant roles came in Captain Blood, Son of Frankenstein and To Be or Not to Be, and he appeared in several Universal horror films of the 1940s.
