Leonid Kmit was a Soviet and Russian actor who graduated from the Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy in 1931 and joined the Russian Army Theatre company in 1936. He performed in more than thirty films from 1929 to 1982, and is best known for his performance as Petka in Chapaev.
