Dominic West and Sienna Miller, two rival London law firms and the case of the century, in a world of love, scandal, betrayal and ambition where winning is everything. That is War, and finding it is the hard part. George Kay’s series is a joint commission from Sky and HBO, ordered for two seasons, and each partner streams it in its own territories, so where you watch depends entirely on where you are.
West plays Morgan Henderson and Miller plays Carla Duval. The eight-part first season is airing weekly now.
United States: HBO and HBO Max
War airs on HBO and streams on HBO Max. The global premiere was Thursday 1 October, with a new episode each week since. Cable subscribers will find it on the HBO channel; everyone else, in the app.
UK and Ireland: Sky and NOW
At home in Britain and Ireland, War is a Sky Original. It arrived on Sky and NOW on 2 October, a day after the US, and runs weekly.
Canada: Crave
Canadians get it on Crave, home of HBO’s output here. The season premiered on Thursday 1 October at 9 p.m. ET, alongside the US, and new episodes land on Thursdays through the eight-episode run.
Australia: HBO Max
In Australia, War streams on HBO Max, which has carried it since the 1 October global premiere.
New Zealand
No New Zealand home has been announced yet.
Elsewhere in Europe and Latin America
Sky and NOW carry it in Italy, and Sky and WOW in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. HBO Max has it across Latin America, Southeast Asia, France and Belgium.
The cast and the team
The bench behind West and Miller is deep: Archie Renaux, Phoebe Fox, James McArdle, Nina Sosanya and Pip Torrens co-star, with Celia Imrie, Nick Mohammed, Emma Laird, Archie Panjabi, Adrian Scarborough and Miles Jupp further down the call sheet. Kay created, wrote and executive produces. New Pictures, a Banijay company, and Observatory Pictures produce in association with Sky and HBO.
Season two is already taking shape, with Marisa Tomei, Kelly Macdonald and David Harewood joining.
