She played Miss Moneypenny in four James Bond films of the Pierce Brosnan era and Lady Rosamund Painswick in Downton Abbey. On television she also played Auntie Angela in Outnumbered, the villain Mrs Wormwood in The Sarah Jane Adventures, and originated Liz Probert in Rumpole of the Bailey.
